Chanel’s looks for the Resort ‘15 collection debuted in Dubai in a cavernous hanger located on a manmade island styled into a desert oasis complete with fake palm trees and lattice-work screens made from interlocking Chanel Cs. The ensembles were impressive: harem pants, bold prints, and flowing fabrics. Also making a splash were the 1970s-inspired hairstyles. Backcombed bouffants, full heads of curls, and headpieces that looked like hair jewelry were all on display. Take inspiration from the iconic brand and try these hairstyles….–– Kelly Rowe
Full Head of Curls: Prep towel dried hair with styling whip. Wrap hair in medium sized rollers and either allow to air dry or dry with a diffuser. Once 100% dry remove rollers and spray entire head with refinish. Pull apart curls to make them bigger and slightly messy. Mist with healing oil for bouncy softness.
Lots of Volume Bouffant: Starting at the crown of the head lift a section of hair straight up mist with primp and backcomb hair. Continue this process to the front hairline. Lightly smooth hair with a soft bristle brush. Finish with primp.
Headpieces: Look for headpieces that are like jewelry. Jeweled pins, chains, and crescent moon brooches will give you the Princess Jasmine of Alladin look that is reminiscent of these gorgeous pieces.
