If the teenage stampede towards Twilight is anything to go by, today’s release of The Hunger Games is set to send Jennifer Lawrence straight to the top of the hot style pack.  The starlet plays Katniss, the Games’ lead protagonist, as fierce but feminine, so the hair has texture and edge, but uses loose deconstruction to soften the overall feel. A side-swept French braid, make sure to pull out a few pieces to perfect the slack and loose feel.

And you’re going to need hunting skills, stealth, speed, and wits in order to get a ticket! Alternatively, you can copy Hunger Games star, Leven Rambin’s, ravishing do and go straight to the front of the queue. She’s playing Glimmer and you can take inspiration from her character’s name to create a similarly stunning style. Although it looks so special occasion, the style is actually pretty easy to make your own. Focus on luster and polish and shine, then use a curling iron on the ends to add the cascades, which is where the magic is.

Swedish fashion blogger, Kristina Bazan, delivers a wow factor straight look in brilliant blonde. With minimal layering, this super straight style is polished and sophisticated. There is something of an ombre effect going on in the color…Look closely and see that it gets blonder and blonder the further down the hair shaft we go. The uber-blonde begins about halfway down, around the ear, and this creates a beautiful face frame.
