Part of the Disney chain gang of bright-eyed and beautiful young stars now taking Hollywood by the short and curly’s, Vanessa Hudgens’ showed up at the DVF Loves ROXY Launch at ROXY, NYC, with a beautifully tousled, mid-length ‘do. The color is a dark chocolate brown enhancement of her natural hue, which fits well with her complexion and eye color, and is ever so shiny. The shoulder-grazing cut features soft, indiscriminate curls, graceful and romantic. The narrow side part, swept elegantly over the eye line, opens the face-frame and puts extra attention on those sultry, hypnotizing eyes. Not too long now and April showers will be turning into May flowers and we’ll all be loads happier. For now, however, we’re still contending with the rain and the wind and the sleet and the snow. None of this is good for hair, causing dryness, frizz and flyaways; making tresses harder to style. One happy trick is to wear a hat. Hats are fashionable and cool, and they protect your hair. Jessica Biel, Diane Kruger, and Hailee Steinfeld have, as they endured winter weather to attend glamorous premieres and fashion shows (bless their brave cotton socks), been leading the vanguard. Usually styled into soft, undulating, brushed-out waves, Jessica Chastain’s gorgeous, natural red locks are part of her signature. But she showed up at Givenchy’s Fall ’13 Fashion Show in Paris with a starker and stronger look. Typically, we’re not huge fans of making hair stick straight –– texture has too much personality to be put into too many unyielding positions –– yet this sleek look brings new emphasis to Jessica’s structured cheekbones. Most marvelous of all, the linear lines show off the gorgeous sparkle and shine of her copper-toned hue. Known for long, flowing flaxen locks, Naomi Watts joined the craze for bob-length styles with her latest look. The chin-grazing cut features a casual center-part, soft, natural texture, and light layering around the face-frame. Debuted at Paris Fashion Week, we think this style helps her look younger and fresher; more modern, less severe.
