Sexy minx Rihanna covers Elle UK’s April issue. The singer reprised her editorial look, via fashion editor Anne-Marie Curtis and photographer Mariano Vivanco, who captured the sultry bad girl for two covers. Wearing River Island pieces paired with a Louis Vuitton crop top from Spring / Summer ’13 and a Prada stole, she is styled in trending monochromatic wears, and other vanguard pieces from du jour designers like Alexander Wang, Tom Ford, and Martin Margiela. Nevertheless, the House of Flora geometric sunglasses were our favorite accessory –– two pairs for us please. Beauty-wise, Rihanna does not disappoint. Her messy pixie cut and red pout enhance the fitted fashions she wears with dripping allure.

Ooh la la, the French Twist has so much polish and style and class! It got us thinking about weekend updos. By definition, an updo is any hairstyle fastened away from the face: ponytails, buns, beehives –– they all count. But the most sophisticated, the most chic, and probably the most underused, is the French Twist. It is created by gathering hair in a low pony (not secured) and twisting the ponytail upwards until it turns in on itself against the head. It is then secured with pins or clips. It can be tricky, so today we are Style Noting a basic French Twist technique –– use it to make a dynamic addition to your own hairstyling options.
