Made by master stylist at ARROJO studioCheryl Fazio, as part of a collection titled, ‘Light and Sweet’, this is a vivid interpretation of a modern occasion style. For the girl who wants to frolic in the meadow, or simply be different, this whimsical style suits everything from summer music festival to garden parties and weddings. The trend for flowers in hair abounds this spring and summer, yet its seasonality means it will be gone by the time the first leaves fall; if you want to wear it, the time is now. And it’s easier than you think. All Cheryl did was buy some flowers from Chelsea Market, blow-dry the hair, and then twist together the stems to create a flower-power headband. For her own insights, click style notes.

Kate Middleton’s archetypal long layer cut and side part bears the hallmarks of a classic style for a modern beauty. With lush, dense locks, layers are a great way to create space for hair to swing and move, and to give freedom to arrange styles in a variety of ways. The side-parted bangs, meanwhile, have beautiful shape and free-falling movement, which plays into the artful tousle of this lengthy, feminine style. It’s a great fit for Kate’s strong cheekbones and pretty eyes. We love her color too. An enhancement of her innate hue, brunette keeps the heiress earthy and natural. Platinum locks with vibrant tangerine tips provide an unexpected mix of soft coolness with vibrant warmth. Bright tips are fun, but they’re also functional. The vibrant color makes hair seem thicker by drawing the eye to the perimeter shape. We especially love vibrant hair paired with glossy lips in a sheer version of the same tone as shown here.
