With this hip, shaggy style, Jennifer Lopez looks more East Village street kid than glamorous princess of pop –– we love it! With longer lengths, heavy layers, and disconnections all working together to create space and texture, we can see different lengths of hair hitting different spots for shimmering face-framing shape. It is a fiercely inventive modern style. It gives her hair more capacity for fullness and body; it will hold curls, texture, or stay straight –– according to how it is styled. Oh, and let’s not forget those sixties-inspired deep-set bangs –– gorgeous!

In the ’80 we wore claw bangs, in the ‘90s we wore baby bangs, in 2012, there is another kind of dramatic fringe: the blunt bang. Great for drawing attention to the windows of the soul –– eyes! –– Jessica’s fringe complements the dynamic straightness that makes this a mod-inspired, statement style. We love it because it’s such a professional, pulled together look, it supports a strong personal image, yet anyone can do it in ten minutes.
