The resulting color is dark enough to satisfy the craving for raven strands and works well on a variety of skin tones both dark and light. The flamboyant florals permeating Custo Barcelona’s collections are always worth a watch. This season, designer Custo Dalmau, took it up a notch with bright tribal patterns inspired by Navajo culture. What we found the most fun was how the hair matched the ruffled texture of the clothes. The late 60s and early seventies were a time of upheaval and change, but they were also a time of mellowing. PVC frocks were replaced with wrap dresses, doll like eye makeup was exchanged for soft colors and natural brows, geometric cuts and stylized bouffants were traded for simple shapes worn sleek and smooth. Long hair, straight bangs, and silky texture combined for a sweet look that was easy to style, youthful, and natural. Steal this fetching retro look in a few simple step. –– Laura Martin
