ARROJO Expo is a galvanizing two-day show focused on finding and sharing the latest trends and techniques in contemporary hairdressing. After several seasons of barbered styles and military fades, one of the most interesting presentations was Modify, which offers a new direction for men’s styles. Drawn from the mods of sixties Britain, the inspiration uses their commitment to a defined aesthetic and lifestyle to dawn a new era of fashionable looks for men. The styles feature longer back and sides with shorter tops, creating disciplined masculine shapes with deconstructed edges; effectively, the proportions are reversed: Long disconnected flop-tops with short backs-and-sides are no more; tougher, layered shapes with longer outlines come to the fore. We love how these looks allow masculine brio to shine. For cut, product and styling recommendations for a sixties mod look, click style notes.

Earlier in the week, editorial stylist Christophe Lambenne sent us this delicious windswept side-pony, which also featured in Vogue Italia Online. The image and hairstyle above is part of the same Aventuras collection, and we can’t help but love its vibe, which swings from safari to seduction. The effortlessly pretty ‘do is fabulous too, benefitting from a sultry matte texture. To learn how Christophe created this effect, click style notes.
