When you’re literally named after your signature hair color, it takes major guts to switch it up. Thus was the dilemma of one of 2000’s favorite rocker chicks: Alecia Moore, or as you may know her, “Pink”. We’ve come to love her many takes on the super short, semi-androgynous, rockstar hair style, which has done much more than stay pink. The first-time mom has gone from hot pink to platinum blonde to, more recently, a silvery-grey. Lesson to be learned: no matter how attached you are to your signature hair style or color, there’s always room for change once in a while… no excuses. If Spring runways and red carpets are anything to go by (they are), 2012 is the year of the simplified braid –– the twist!  Like their more complicated cousin, twists can be interpreted in a variety of ways, but because they are a bit easier to do, more girls are likely to give them a try. This classically styled long length benefits from a simple twist to the side, which adds interest and drama.
