 romantic braids

For 2014, we’re loving the Renaissance-inspired braids seen on the spring / summer 2014 runways. Strands are loosely pulled back away from the face and woven into an elegant, relaxed plait. It’s a great easy to-do style that gives a nod to a romantic era without looking costume-like. Click through to style notes to learn how to get the look. –– Michelle Rotbart

As a wine lover, I’ve always found the range and complexity of vino to be a great source of inspiration when creating new formulas. Lambrusco is one of my favorites. Rich, dry and sparkly, it’s a great balance of the refreshing lightness of champagne with the bitterness and fruit of a classic red. This beautiful formula has the same qualities. It’s soft and shimmery, yet rich and bright, perfect for any season. The trick is subtle highlights united with the base shade through a richly pigmented glaze.
