If you’re in your teens or twenties there may be times you want to look more mature; but in your thirties or beyond looking older becomes a whole lot less appealing. While some styles are inherently youthful others add years to anyone. Whether you’re trying to project an air of maturity or to avoid styles that make you look older, you should know about these aging looks. –– Laura Martin
The Beautiful Simplicity of Long Hair With Crisp Bangs
Fall is coming, and cooler weather means it’s time to let your hair down. Instead of fighting mid-day frizz you can enjoy long-lasting sleekness. Long, smooth tresses with a smooth, blunt bang is a great way to celebrate the season. The statement bang adds a touch of femme-fatale glamour. The style looks great worn tousled, wavy or smooth. Derek Lam & Style.com Proclaim That The Blow Out Is Dead
Derek Lam and Style.com love a cool girl. For his Spring 2015 Ready-To-Wear show, Derek’s models eschewed the polished pretense of the ladies of Madison and 5th Avenues in favor of fashion and beauty looks, not overtly glam nor pretty, but definitely strong and cool and beautifully tough, like what a Lower East Sider might wear to the bar or the club. We adore the natural un-fussiness of the hairstyles, which are born out of the designer’s belief that the blow-out is dead. We’re not sure that’s true, but we can certainly take inspiration from his collection to create some gorgeous natural styles.
