We never met a braid we didn’t like, and apparently everyone in fashion loves them as much as we do. From the models seen at DKNY to Michael Kors, plaits were very popular within the Spring 2015 collections. This weeks favorite braid is the neo-bohemian plait we saw at Mara Hoffman ( remember we did say that the festival trend was taking off!) The beauty team at Mara Hoffman, created the messy braid to match the brands California cool-girl vibe. And we were just dying to get the know-how. We even learned a new braiding technique in the process, but don’t worry, even if you are as lazy as us when it comes to putting looks together, this one is super easy and the messier it looks the better. Worn together or separately, these shades evoke a sense of antique glamour. Click the style notes for the formulas and tips on application. –– Laura Martin

shampoo-hair

Shampooing is a great way to fade color and dry out your hair so here are some tips to avoid the shampoo bottle. –– Kelly Rowe
