Valentino is sticking with bohemian braids for 2015, showing a soft and sweet style for the 2015 Couture show. As noted on, the looks were inspired by the fragile nature of innocent love. The models wore a loose plait that resembled a crown and was decorated with tiny buds, like daises and violets. The blooms appeared to be plucked right out of a field (if it weren’t for the freezing temperatures outside!). It may not be summer quiet yet, but festival goers take note: the flower crown has gone couture. Skip the plastic blooms at the high street stores and head to your nearest flower market for a prettier take on Coachella headgear. Sometimes bad hair days come out of nowhere. You leave the house looking great, but between the cold weather, the hat you wore on your morning commute, and the nervous twirling you did during your morning meeting, by lunch things have gone down hill. Your hair looks limp, lifeless and lackluster. Enter the side-flip, the ingenious trick will add instant volume and movement, refreshing your style in 3 minutes or less. It’s tough to get that perfect shade of blonde that not too warm or too cool, too light or too dark, too bright or too dishwater. This is that shade: light but not white, cool but not ashy. It’s lovely ivory hue invites comparisons to eggshells and duchess satin. Get the formula and tips on application in the style notes. –– Laura Martin
