Beautiful young woman dyes her hair

So you decided to color at home. As a professional colorist, my first response is you should have gone to a salon. A generic box of color, is formulated in a way to get some kind of new hue into any head of hair, no matter its condition or color history, it will never match the tailor-made formulas and artistic eye of a competent professional. Still, what will be will be. Let’s focus on fixing any damage that may have been done. Click the notes for common at-home coloring mistakes and what to do about them. –– Kelly Rowe

post2 3By now, you are well aware that Coachella is about a lot more than just the music. Besides fashion month, it’s my number one go-to for checking out what’s going to be hot all summer. Among the lace, fringe, and de-stressed denim the annual ode to all things bohemian also has some of the best real-girl beauty looks. So far, some of the best ladies are rocking SoCal waves, floppy hats and fresh faces. neonblonde

Pastel hair keeps getting lighter and more ethereal. The trendiest shades this season are barely-there washes that are more blonde than bright. This pale chartreuse is a perfect example. The bold neon shade applied to the underside of the hair gives it a glow-in-the-dark illumination that is both soft and intense. Bangs

The contrast of thick, shiny bangs and loose, wispy layers is an intriguing balance of ethereal and architectural styles. The textures anchor each other, creating a balanced look that is urban, pretty and ultra-stylish. It’s especially suited for the trends this spring, which are falling towards the extreme ends of the texture spectrum. It’s both organic and geometric.
