From icy platinum to bronzy brunette, Hollywood provides endless inspiration for hair colors. Referencing an iconic celebrity evokes the essence and energy of a character, their story, and attitude. There have been so many stand out hair colors in film, music and television it would be impossible to list them all. So we asked Eve Galmiche, revered hair colorist at ARROJO NYC, to pick out some favorites. Her collage represents nine of her top celebrity hair colors; read her thoughts on them below.

It’s officially spring, which means it’s time to cut your hair. Don’t let your locks be your security blanket; show off that pretty face, swan-like neck, and sultry shoulder. I’ve seen many great celebrity examples lately, with Lauren Conrad and Katy Perry two noteworthy stars intent on showing how cute short hair can be. Go for a crop, I promise it will grow back––sometimes too quickly! tousled bob

One of the advantages of a short haircut is that—assuming your hair is straight—if it’s well-executed, it will fall into place with very little styling.
