I love a great undone and non-prissy updo. They were all the rage on the Fall ’15 runway, with everyone from Chanel to Isabel Marant adopting the unstuffy look. While some may think that you have to have long flowing locks to create a fantastic mussy chignon, the truth is even ladies with cropped hair can enjoy a great do. And when I saw that Kristin Stewart stepped out a great asymmetrical updo at the Women in Film Awards last week, I knew I’d found the perfect answer to great style for any length. Her look is just the amount of done, and undone which translates into a perfectly imperfect do that says I never try too hard. Care to emulate her look? Bronde is turning out to be the biggest color trend of summer. But bronde isn’t a one-hue-fits-all trend. It’s actually a spectrum of shades ranging from buttery caramel to smokey taupe. The term also covers a variety of placements: a single shade, a subtle fade, or a dimensional blend. The looks above illustrate a few possibilities; click the style notes for more inspiration. –– Laura Martin  Click for StyleNotes →

Cutting hair off takes no time at all, but growing it back is another story. If you’re getting tired of waiting for your strands to catch up with your vision you may want to try clip-in extensions. Unlike sew-in or bonded extension, clip-ins are DIY and they’re much less expensive. But getting them to look natural requires some know-how.
