behead

Despite how much I may like a great blow-out, I’m a sucker for bedhead. I love texture that is messy and sexy and easy to achieve (mostly because I’m just lazy and I think this look actually adds to my alluring appeal). This style will forever be a staple on the runways because it makes every girl look care-free and wild. And who doesn’t want to to look nonchalant? So if it works for me, it will certainly work for you. Click through to style notes to get the details. –– Michelle Rotbart

mauve and mahogany

We’ve mostly seen the pastel trend in full head applications, but candy colors can also work beautifully as accent tones on natural shades. The look shown here blends rich mahogany brown and dusky mauve for a bespoke violet brown. It’s a bold look but not garish and offers a take on pastel that feels more mature and sophisticated than a full-head application. bright hair

Brights and pastels are taking over Hollywood. What started as an edgy trend worn by stars like Kelly Osborne and Demi Lovato is becoming mainstream, at least among celebrities. Even Kelly Ripa has jumped on board! But the trend is still a fringe movement on real girls. Why isn’t this trend as popular on the street as it is on the red carpet?
