Bangs are a big commitment. They can be hard to style and require constant trimming, but if you get the right ones it’s all worth it. A good bang is like a great pair of shoes, it makes everything look more stylish. I’m a big fan of bangs, but if you’ve never had them before there are a few things you should know before chopping. No one will recognize you, including you. Bangs will make your face look different. It will take time for you to adjust and everyone will notice them.
Your wardrobe will look different. Your leather will look tougher, your vintage more antiqued, your sex-kitten cocktail dress more jaw-dropping. Great bangs make every outfit more stylish.
You will think a lot more about weather. Humidity, rain, or even heat (and the sweat it produces) can have a major impact on your fringe. You will need to have bobby pins, dry shampoo, and blotting papers on you at all times.
You need to style them immediately after showering. You can no longer lounge around in a towel applying your makeup and letting your hair air dry. Left to their own devices bangs will do terrible things. If you can’t dry them, hold them into place and cover with a headband while they dry.
