picnic hair

The summer can be a tough time for picnics. The weather can be scorching hot and the bugs can be intense. But this week we are being blessed with some gorgeous weather here in New York, so take some inspiration and try these looks for a weekend picnic. –– Kelly Rowe

Picnic Under the Trees (left)

Apply a cocktail of cream whip and hair creme to towel dried hair. Comb through and make a deep side part.  Pin back sides of part to keep hair off the face. Scrunch hair and allow to air dry for easy natural texture.

Seaside Picnic (top right)

On towel-dried hair apply a palm of styling whip roots to ends followed by a dime of styling crème to mid lengths and ends.  Set full head in rollers and allow to dry. When dry remove rollers and brush out curls, gently joining together waves. Mist whole head with primp when in style is set just how your want it.

Picnic in the Park (bottom right)

On dry hair, pulse in refinish to add grip to hair. Rake hair with fingers into a high ponytail. Back comb lengths of the ponytail. Roll ponytail down on itself and pin. Pull little bits out for interest. Wrap a brightly colored scarf for a pop of color.
