The texture trend has gone global (hate to say we told you so) with Alexander McQueen’s fall/winter 2017 campaign.
Photographer Jamie Hawkesworth and Creative Director Sarah Burton get inventive in Iceland with patterned patchwork, tailored coats, and optimal hair texture in two contrasting yet arguably connected locations. The photos are shot in both a color-saturated yet cozy domestic setting and in black & white in the barren landscapes of Iceland. Both settings feel unoccupied and desolate contrasting from the bold patterns & chic design of the collection.
The hair is messily crimped and excessively teased creating an unruly textured look that works so well.
