layers
Bringing up the topic of layers can make some shudder and others get excited. Layers work for certain strands and not for others. Do they work for you? A few simple hair and lifestyle tips will let you know if layers will work in your hair and also if you will be happy. Click the notes for more. –– Kelly Rowe

Layers are great for gals who like to curl. Are you obsessed with your curling wand? If you love to curl your strands layers will make them look much better. Layers allow the hair to bounce making curls and waves last longer with more volume.

Athletic chicks should stick to ultra light layering. If you spend a lot of time in the gym or playing sports keep layers light but don’t go for an all one-length look. Light layers will still allow you to pull your hair up without anything falling out but they will give you the added benefit of allowing you hair to dry naturally without it looking like it is dragging you down.

Trying to thicken your hair can get tricky.  If you want your hair to look thicker you can fluff up layers easily to make hair look much thicker. If you want your hair to feel thicker all one length is the way to go.

Don’t underestimate the power of a blunt cut. When humidity subsides in the fall and winter, an all one length cut is great to show off long smooth strands and strong shapes. Layers are great to take advantage of humidity to get natural texture looking its best.
