Ombre may finally be fading away, but dimension will never disappear. Light blonde and silver shades are big trends for the fall; adding depth at the root makes these colors more wearable and adds visual thickness and texture. Step: To achieve this look, start by lightening mid-lengths and ends. Apply a lightener or a highlift blonde shade, starting 1” from scalp and saturating throughly to ends. Process to and even level 9 or 10, shampoo and dry throughly.
Step: Select a neutral or slightly warm shade of light brown and apply to roots. Saturate the previously uncolored area thoroughly, then use a dry brush to blend shade into blonde. Process for 30 minutes, shampoo and towel dry.
Step: Tone hair roots to ends with a caramel, gold, or platinum glaze. Process 5-10 minutes to unify and refine tones. Rinse, condition, and style as desired.
