blunt cut

Everyone is always looking for new trends but the trend that is happening right now is just heading back to basics and going all blunt. Blunt haircuts can be harder to wear than most people think, especially if you have very thick hair. Click the notes for tips to follow to be on the blunt hair trend. –– Kelly Rowe

Don’t go too long. Unless you have very fine hair all one length blunt cuts can overwhelm you. Keep it a note to not to go any longer than your shoulder blade.

Don’t wear your hair straight. Straight styles, unless it’s a bob can make the perimeter line look thick and odd. Wear it with a lot of texture. This is great because it means less work in the morning.

Keep color to a minimum. Layers allow for more creative coloring because the hair moves more and does not lie flat. Blunt cuts don’t give you that flexibility, so keep coloring fine and minimal.

Internal layers or undercuts will save girls with thick hair. Thick hair can make wearing a all one length cut uncomfortably hot. Internal layering will lighten up your locks and still look blunt on the outside. An alternative solution is an undercut that will remove some of the hair underneath.
