Jackie Kennedy Onassis is famous for her fashion sense: tailored suits, bold colors, oversized shades. Her style was classic yet original and perfectly timeless. Her hairstyles have the same combination of innovation and endurance, from ethereal curls to a chic geometric bob. Learn how to recreate all four of these Jackie O styles in the notes. –– Laura Martin
Soft Curls (upper left): Prep hair with a liberal mist of set and style spray. Divide into 1” squares, wrap each around 2 fingers, creating loops and attach to scalp with pin curl clips. Allow to air dry. Unclip and shake through with fingers. Finish with holding spray.
Big Bob (upper right): Apply a handful of styling whip, massaging into scalp and pulling out to ends. Flip over and rough dry to reduce moisture. Using a large round brush, continue drying, using maximum elevation. Allow style to cool. Backbrush roots lightly with a round paddle brush. Smooth out the top surface and set with primp.
Slicked Waves (lower left): Apply a handful of curl enhancer, scrunching in from tips. Add a quarter of hair gel to roots and comb straight back away from face. Allow to air dry without disturbing the gently comb through to soften. Add a mist of refresh to ends for shine and soft volume. Re-comb roots and finish with holding spray.
Glamorous Wob (lower right): Mist damp hair all over with wave mist. Set on velcro rollers using high elevation, especially on top, and allow to air dry. Remove rollers and brush through gently. Massage quick pumps of refinish into roots to remove splits and add height. Finish with holding spray.
