The CFDA Awards were filled with gorgeous attendees, but no one wowed us more than Victoria’s Secret beauty Candice Swanepoel. The blonde bombshell paired her romantic periwinkle dress with a thick braided crown, with soft curls cascading down the back. We adore this fresh take on the milkmaid braids trend; Candice certainly knows how to arrive in style!
Step: On damp hair, liberally apply set and style spray. Create a part that is extremely far to one side of the head.
Step: On the side of the part that has more hair, grab a large section of hair at the front of the head and begin braiding. Make sure you begin the braid directly at the part, and continue braiding over the top of the head, occasionally grabbing strands of hair as you braid.
Step: Continue this braid around the head so it is framing it like a crown. Once the braid is done, pin it at the back of the head, underneath the rest of the hair.
Step: Repeat the same process on the other side of the part. Create a thick braid, continue braiding it down behind the ear, and pin it underneath the hair.
Step: Use a curling iron to loosely curl the rest of the hair. Mist finished look with holding spray.
