If you’re going to sit in the front row at a big show like Christian Dior, you’d better look great from behind. Jessica Alba’s jeweled collar and sleek, folded updo nailed it at Paris Fashion Week. From behind, her folded bun had a fan shape reminiscent of a geisha’s chignon. In front, her dark roots, center part, and glossy smoothness gave the style classic appeal. Step: Mist clean dry hair lightly with protective thickening lotion. Create a clean center part with the edge of a comb. Working in 1” sections, refine texture with a straightening iron.

Step: Mist hands with shine spray and brush over top surface of hair, roots to ends. Pull all hair back into a tight, low ponytail, without disturbing center part.

Step: Fold ponytail in half, bending ends forward and up. Use a large barrette to fasten at the base of the ponytail. Mist with holding spray.
