Fashion Blogger Lua P. of Le Happy (http://www.le-happy.com) has worn many variations of red-to-blonde ombre, ranging from subtle to extreme. But her latest variation is the brightest yet. Vibrant apple-red roots, ruby mid-lengths and peach ends make for a bold, yet blended interpretation of ombre. Click the style notes for formulas and application tips to recreate the look. –– Laura Martin

Application: Begin with hand-painted ombre. Saturate ends fully with formula 1 and create a soft line of demarcation around the cheekbone or chin. Process for 25 minutes, shampoo, condition and blow dry. Apply formula 2 to most of the head, leaving out the very ends of the hair. The pre-lightened  areas will take a vibrant red and the natural hair will have a deeper, slightly subdued hue. Apply formula three to remaining tips, process and cleanse.

Formulas: (on natural level 6)

1: Goldwell Oxycur Platin with 40 Volume

2: Goldwell Elumen RR@all

3: Goldwell Elumen 40 parts Clear + 2 parts KK@all + 1 part PK@all
