Bangs are hot right now, but for many people they can also be intimidating. You may fear bangs because of the need for trims, or because you worry you won’t know how to style them, or because you’re not sure if a blunt fringe will flatter your features. But even if you hate getting trims, never touch a hairdryer, and have strong features that don’t work well with geometric shapes, there’s a bang that’s perfect just for you. Don’t believe me? Choppy Bangs: (top left) If you’re worries about bangs making you look old or severe, try a choppy edge which softens the line of the fringe, create a super-flattering face frame. The jagged line also needs less frequent trimming than blunt bangs.

Wavy Bangs: (top right) Wear your fringe wavy and parted like Rihanna and you don’t need to use a hairdryer, just comb and go. Parting also means these bangs can grow for a quite a while without looking awkward.

Side Bangs: (bottom left) Sweeping your fringe to the side creates a long line that’s flattering on round and angular faces. The diagonal line also goes out softly and doesn’t require constant trimming.

Parted Bangs: (bottom right) Center parted bangs are trending and it’s easy to see why; the divided keeps the edge soft, elongates the face, disguises cowlicks, and even looks cool when a little dirty. This fringe also blends your bangs into your layers, so it looks great even grown-out.
