It’s Friday; we can dream –– dream about this heavenly hairstyle! An archetypal long length with layers and an airy, light brown color, it is such a captivating, spellbinding mien because of the whimsical perfectly imperfect hairstyling. The trick to so much body and wave and bounce and smoothness is the age old art of setting hair with rollers. The lift, the texture, the tumbling shape, and the velvety finish are all accomplished this way. Roller-setting “resets” the natural shape of your hair to build a foundation that will allow you to easily create a glamorous, red carpet look. If you are washing your hair this weekend, why not give it a try…
Step: Liberally apply styling creme to wet hair. Styling cream is best when you want body and smoothness.
Step: ‘Wet set’ hair using sponge rollers. To do, wind soft sponge rollers (these are best for when you are leaving rollers in for extended time periods) into hair, all over the head. Whether you’re putting in six big rollers (for loose, wavy looks) or sixteen small ones (for tight curls), be sure get a nice even spread across the front, top, sides, and back. Do this and your hot new look is sure to be well-balanced.
Step: Mist set with set & style spray to support and shine.
Step: For strongest set, allow to dry overnight. For speed –– and a looser set –– blowdry with diffuser.
Step: Next morning, or after diffusing, unwind rollers.
Step: The last bit is the most simple, fun and creative. You’ll now have a big, curly hairstyle. Use a blowdryer and a brush to brush out the shape until you get a lovely, flowing style with lots of body and wave and bounce and smoothness.
Step: Mist final look with holding spray to keep it strong. The set should last two or three days.
