The best hair is hair that is hydrated. It shines more, has elasticity, frizzes less, and is more manageable. How can you get this? Not through products. Products are great at masking what’s going on underneath and within the strand and giving good quick fixes to common problems, but they are not a medium or term answer. The only way to better lengths is through what goes in your body. A healthy balanced diet will always produce better locks, but the most neglected thing is water. The old phrase of 8 glasses of water is a good rule to follow but doubling that will really increase the benefits. Water keeps skin and hair supple. This most basic habit of drinking a lot of water will benefit not only your hair growth but the quality of hair. Remember, it’s summer and you need to drink even more to make up for what you lose while sweating.
Here’s a simple but effective trick to getting the water you need.
Buy a gallon jug of water, they are cheaper than the smaller bottles. Mark lines on it with a sharpie with times. These will give you goals to reach and make a gallon seem less daunting. Before you know it you will be drinking a gallon a day easily and on your way to long and strong strands.
