Soft colors and short swingy shapes combine to form a soft spring trend: baby bobs. The look starts with a customized bang—which can be short or long—that blends down seamlessly into ear-grazing length at the sides and tapers in at the neck. The outline is barely longer than a pixie, but a blunt edge and minimal layering give the cut a distinctly bob-like feeling. Delicate pale hues add lightness. Step: Start this cut at the fringe. Take a thick triangular section by dividing hair from the apex to just above the temple on each side. Cut this area into a micro, square, or rounded bang shape.
Step: Using the edge of the bang as a guide, follow the hairline to create a rounded shape, using minimal elevation to keep weight in the shape’s exterior.
Step: Use a razor or shears to remove bulk from the tips of the hair for a swingy feeling.
