plum sangria

The reds that have been trending for the spring and summer have been mostly warm: copper, rose gold, and coral. Deep purples and rich velvet hues feel too saturated, too serious for the warmer months, like trying to drink merlot in July. But this shade, like a glass of sangria, lightens and brightens the intensity of wine red. It’s plummy, but light, balancing violet tones with vibrant pink and cherry red. Application: Use a virgin application to prevent hot roots without needing to adjust the formula. Begin application 1/2” away from roots. Work in 1/4” subsections, placing a thin strip of cotton along the scalp to prevent color from bleeding. Saturate throughly to ends. Remove cotton and paint remaining color onto roots. Process for 30 minutes.
