naked highlights

Warm weather means bare skin: less clothing, softer makeup, and highlights that match your skin. Nude accents against a dark blonde backdrop gives hair a breezy, lightweight feeling. The flesh-toned brightness illuminates skin with glowing radiance. Learn to create skin-enhancing highlights in the style notes. –– Laura Martin

Step: Select highlight shade by placing different blonde swatches against your face. Pick the color closest to your natural tone. Lift highlight sections with lightener then tone with selected shade.

Step: Color remaining hair with a demi-permanent glaze 2-3 shades darker than highlights and in a contrasting tone: warm for cool skin, cool for warm skin.

Step: Add shine and protect your new shade from fading with color save shampoo and conditioner and a mist of healing oil.
