Everyday hair should only be a few things––easy and effortless, simple and yet refined. These great hair qualities were spotted at the Dion Lee Fall ’15 collection. The models wore undone chignons for a look that said dense, yet delicate. It’s the perfect style to take you from day to night and this soft and textured look is as easy to emulate as it is beautiful. Read on to style notes to learn how to get the look. –– Michelle Rotbart
Step One: Start with dry hair and add texture with hits of refinish from roots to ends. Then, rake through your hair with fingers. For some additional grip, spray ends of hair with primp.
Step Two: Use your hands to comb hair into a low ponytail. Next, twist hair around the base of the ponytail crafting a loose bun. Leave the ends out below the nape of the neck and secure bun with a hair tie.
Step Three: You can add a few pins into the bun for security, but not too many as to keep the organic feel. Pull on the bun using your fingers and then tease the hair along the top of the head for some additional movement. Finish with a few more sprays of primp.
