I know it’s just the beginning of the year, but I’m already sick of spending what seems like hours doing my hair.  Easy, quick, on-the-go styles are often difficult to come by so when I found an amazing, messy braid style that was super unique, I almost jumped for joy. You know I haven’t met a braid I didn’t like, so I can’t help but to get excited. This look says I did my hair, but I don’t take myself too seriously. Perfect for understated glamor and for the girl who just doesn’t have time. To learn how to create this amazing messy half braid, click through to the notes.  –– Michelle RotbartStep One: Begin by pulsing refinish into tendrils to create texture. Section out a few inches of hair at the front sides of your head. Then making sure to leave these two pieces out, gather the remaining length into a ponytail at the center back of your head and secure with hair tie.

Step Two: Weave a short braid, doing between four to six cross overs total. It should only be a little less than halfway down your length. Secure with a clear elastic.

Step Three: Gently loosen and pull apart the braid with your fingers to fatten it up and add texture. Pulse in more refinish for additional grit and hold.

Step Four: Finish the look by taking the sectioned out side pieces and wrapping them around the base of your ponytail and securing with pin. You also get creative and twist them and pin into hair.
