A ponytail is usually the first hairstyle we ever learn to do, but chances are you may still be struggling to keep it looking new even today. Though it’s good to keep it simple sometimes it’s fun to switch it up with unique nuances like adding in a braid or a loop or an accessory. I’m always looking for inspiration for hairstyles on the runway, in editorials, and even on the street. So I was so excited when I saw a super cool chic rocking a look that was part pony part braid over the weekend. I literally stopped her to ask how she did her hair and was surprised to find out it was so totally easy. No need for professional skills, just a few basics steps. Step One: Gather hair into a low ponytail at the nape of your neck and secure with a hair tie.
Step Two: Fashion a loose classic braid halfway down the pony and then secure again with a hair tie. Then begin to gently pull on the plaid and loosen it up.
Step Three: Then split the plait in the center and loop the pony through.
Step Four: Tug on the tail to pull it through and then again pinch and pull the braid to loosen it up. Spray with primp.
