As we’ve already experienced this week in NYC, humidity can hit at any time. Be sure to prevent flyways in advance by using moisturizing products like defrizz serum, a soft and silky no hold product that’s great for eliminating frizz and flyways. And for on the go fixes try a dry conditioner like refresh, it’s perfect for restoring lost moisture.
Just because it isn’t the height of August, doesn’t mean the sun isn’t damaging your hair. Prevention is important in keeping color and hair safe from the sun. If you’re outside for a prolonged period of time, wear a hat ( it’ll keep your head warm too). Or use a product with SPF in it to fight UV rays.
Dry & Cold Air
Avoid dry skin and hair caused by the cold and dry weather by drinking more water and using products that protect and seal in moisture. Use a hydrating cleanser and conditioner like moisturizing shampoo and conditioner and even add in a treatment like whipped treatment for additional shine and luster.
We mentioned the hair tuck is a fashion trend this fall, but it’s also a great way to prevent the wind from destroying your hair. A little bit of primp working spray and a nice hair tuck will keep you safe from the elements.
