Many of you know, I haven’t met a braid I didn’t love. And with summer practically here, I’m already looking for new options on how to wear my bob as it grows out. I really love all of the big voluminous braids that have been trending the last few seasons and am always trying to figure out how to wear one even with my shorter strands. So when I learned about this great pull through half ponytail I was super excited. Max style for minimal effort. This is an amazing look for someone who doesn’t love braiding but still wants to look cool, and only takes a few minutes to complete. Step One: Start be creating a half-ponytail by sectioning out your crown and securing at the back of your head. Then separate the length into two equal parts, one on top and one underneath.
Step Two: Let the bottom section drop and then grab the top section and split it in half again, creating a left and a right part. Then pull up the bottom section you previously dropped in-between the now top section and temporarily secure it with a clip.
Step Three: Secure the left and right section with an elastic. Then release the now top section from the clip and split it into a left and right section like you did before.
Step Four: Repeat the previous steps, pulling up the lower section between the right and left section and securing them with an elastic. Continue to do this until you reach the end of your tail. Secure with a final hair tie. For a finishing touch, gently pull and tug on the loops you created to fatten up the braid.
