In the sunny season, it often feels like your hair is just another layer of cushioning meant to keep you sweaty and incredibly uncomfortable. I get it, by mid-day despite all your primping, you probably just want to throw your tendrils up into a basic bun and hope you don’t get invited out last minute. Or you could opt to beat the heat and humidity and wear a very in and cool hair do, like a braided top knot. This style will get your hair off your neck and keep you looking chic all day long. Step One: Spray in refinish dry shampoo throughout hair to add extra grip and texture. Then begin to gather hair into a high ponytail and secure with an elastic.
Step Two: Braid the length of the ponytail all the way to the end and secure with a clear elastic. Next coil the braid around itself, securing with pins as you go.
Step There: Once the braid is completely coiled and secured, pull out a few stray hairs out for a more lived-in look. Finish by spraying with primp and throwing on a headband or scarf.
