Great tools can make all the difference between okay hair and amazing hair. There are, however, a few tips and tricks you should follow to keep your tools functioning optimally or make them more effective. Click the notes for more. –– Kelly Rowe
Wipe irons and wands.
Hot tools especially anything with a clamp or closing plates can get product buildup that will eventually burn onto the iron. This is the last thing you want on your hair. Use a damp towel to wipe down all tools after each and every use. Make sure to wipe while the iron is still hot and do not let it cool down. This will make sure you get shiny pretty styles not dull ones.
Spray tools with product.
Spray a comb with hairspray and then comb through your hair, this will provide an even distribution of light hold without stickiness. Spray brushes with healing oil to add an element of moisture and shine without over loading your hair with weight.
Clean out your cobs and brushes. .
Clean brushes are essential for great styling. It’s an easy thing that most of us don’t do. Click here to see how to do it.
Replace when needed.
Brushes especially ones that you use for blow-drying will need to be replaced eventually. The bristles will eventually become soft, melted, and not effective. New brushes are worth the spending when needed.
