Make leave-in conditioner your friend
Hair in need of lots of hydration can definitely benefit from leave-in conditioner. Spray and lotion versions are great for adding an extra boost of shine and can leaves hair silky smooth.
Use the mysterious cool button setting
After hair is about 85 percent dry, switch over to the cool button. Your hair is never truly ‘set’ until it is cool; finishing styles with cool air ensures the finishing touches of long-lasting hold and shine will always be yours.
Avoid alcohol based products
Products that contain alcohol will dry out hair. Look for stylers that won’t strip shine and leave your hair dull and instead bring out your natural sheen.
Use brushes with natural bristles
Brushes with natural bristles are great for distributing the scalps natural oils from roots to ends, giving you natural shine.
Spray on Shine
Fake it till you make it. For a little extra shine try using a shine serum, oil, or spray. It’s the easiest way to get the gleam we all desire. We really like healing oil. It’s a restorative glossing aerosol spray that not only gives excellent shine but is full of precious oils.
