For top models like Karlie Kloss, February is one of the busiest months of the year with fashion weeks in New York, Paris, London and Milan. Lesser-knowns may only walk in a couple of shows, but an in-demand model like Karlie wears the full range of a season’s trends over the course of a few weeks. Karlie’s fashion week looks range from bombshell volume to no nonsense braids, these are the trends to try in the upcoming year. Click the notes to learn more. –– Laura Martin

Braids: From the boxer braids she wore at Nick Knight to the sweet entwined updo she chose for the Brits, Karlie’s braids indicate a return to simplicity. Neat french braids and cornrows are replacing romantic fishtails and complicated waterfalls as this season’s hottest weave.

Volume: Over-the-top volume is making a comeback, both in 60s-style shapes that are high and glossy with curled ends and in 70s-style looks that expand out to the sides with frizz and fluff.

Center Parts: Paired with gentle flips and a headband, pigtail braids, or big frizzy volume, Karlie has shown off her symmetrical beauty with a plethora of center parts. For those of us with less than perfect symmetry, a slightly messy line softens the look.
