Long Hair In All Its Glory

BLONDE, EVERYDAY, LONG, MODEL, SEXY

What a bouncy, sexy, voluptuous ‘do! A desirable editorial style featuring long and luscious layers paired with marvelous opaque brown, the fullness, the cascades, the larger than life personality of the style –– it’s all fabulous! Quick-setting with a curling iron pin-set can give you a similar texture, but the best way to get hair to swing and move like this is to roller-set with large-size rollers.

Step: Wet setting the hair is the best option. Setting hair when wet and drying naturally makes the firmest kind of sets. So, rinse hair, mist liberally with set & style spray, and wind lots of large sponge rollers into the hair.

Make sure to cover the whole head. The hair should go 1-5 to 2 times around the roller. This is the perfect wind for loose but defined waves and curls; too much more will make tight ringlets, much less and the waves will be too loose.

Step: Blowdry these rolls with a diffuser attachment (allowing hair to dry naturally will create an even stronger set, but using a diffuser is good enough for most styles). When dry and cool, release rollers.

Step: Brush hair off the root to increase volume and use the texture that you created to add cascading tousle and flow through the top, sides, and back. The more you brush, the more you will brush out the set, so start slowly and gently, only brush firmly if you can’t break the texture up. Use the above image as inspiration for the final look.

Step: The set should last at least a couple of days. Increase day to day texture and volume with ReFinish dry shampoo.
