Sometimes the most beautiful things are the simplest. Michelle Dockery’s classic updo, worn at the Non-Stop premiere in Paris, is pure elegance. Soft texture, height around the face, and a simple pleated back perfectly complement her minimal makeup and understated black dress. The look is Parisian perfection. Step: Divide a triangular section out from the top of the head, tracing a line back from each temple to crown, using fingers to find a natural point of separation without creating a harsh line. Clip all other hair away. Backbrush section lightly, then smooth out top surface. Twist once, push forward slightly and pin just below the crown.
Step: Pick up remaining hair pull together and twist, from the roots out. Fold ends up and pin, forming a pleat. Wrap tails into a bun, or fold again and tuck next to the pleat.
Step: Loosen edges with fingers creating softness along the hairline. Mist completed look with primp.
