Like a well-fitting pair of jeans, these lean haircuts show conform to curves, accentuating the structure of the head, making a svelte silhouette. The slim shape is created with a combination of short and long lengths blended along steep diagonals, reducing bulk without shattering edges. Step: Perimeter of shape is cut with a scissor to define the outline. Work through the entire head, pulling all hair to a one length line. Add bangs if desired.

Step: Layers are cut short to long with the shortest pieces falling through the crown. Use a razor or sliding technique to blend from shortest points out to length along a steep unbroken line.

Step: Refine and blend using razor tipping or point cutting to remove hard corners or edges from the shape.  Dry smooth with protective thickening lotion and a paddle brush for the leanest finish.
