On the A-list, wavy bobs always look chic, but in real life the combination of texture and bluntness often create an unflattering triangle. There are plenty of ways to fix this: more volume at the roots, more texture at the ends, a dusting of layers to redistribute weight. But like most hair problems, triangle head doesn’t usually happen in your bathroom. It tends to show up mid-day as the result of humidity, wind, or other environmental factors. Enter the side flip. This quick and easy style will save you. Learn how in the style notes. –– Laura Martin
Step: Flip your head upside down and shake out roots with fingers, loosening and adding volume.
Step: Flip head back over, tossing hair to one side. This should create a loose version of the flip, refine it by parting hair along the parietal ridge using your fingers.
Step: If you have hairspray on hand, mist style lightly, especially in the part. If not, use fingers to gently backcomb roots, locking them together.
