This bright fashion tone has a fiery heart and a burgundy reflection, producing a shade both warm and cool that works on a variety of skin tones. The color sits on the blonde side of the spectrum, an unusual place to find vibrant reds. This lightness gives a glowing quality, and the mix of bright copper and amethyst offers depth and multi-dimensional shimmer. This hue works especially well with wavy or curly textures; the undulations show off its complexities –– shining crimson in the light, glowing maroon in the shadows. Tips: For maximum complexity and reflection, apply two layers of color: a single process permanent color and a demi-permanent glaze. Layering will improve the longevity of the color and enhance the dimensional shine. For a clear, vibrant result, the starting level should be a 7 or 8. If coloring on a darker level, pre-lifting may be necessary and more of the red-violet tone should be added to combat the natural contributing pigment. Home care for reds is extremely important. Color save shampoo and conditioner will dramatically improve the vibrancy and staying power of this shade.
