This simple, flattering style adds just enough height while keeping hair out of your face. It will control a half-grown-out fringe, add natural-looking lift to limp straight locks, or balance bouncy waves. Keep the look soft and effortless with an easy finish and moderate volume. Pin hair this way before donning your beach cap to prevent hat hair, or use it as a refreshing alternative to tucking your face frame behind your ears. Step: Apply styling whip liberally throughout hair and dry as desired. Lift roots with fingertips and dry, lifting sections with firm tension to create volume. Use a round brush to accentuate movement, or a flat brush for a sleeker look.
Step: When blow-dry is complete, take a triangular section from the front hairline, starting with the recession areas and drawing converging lines to the apex. Spray this section with refinish dry shampoo, focusing at the roots and backbrush lightly.
Step: Twist the top section once and secure at the crown with bobby pins. Add a bow or ornamental clip over the pins if romantic whimsy is desired.
