There is something lovely about a hairstyle that feels precarious, as if it could tumble at any moment. Like bedhead texture, loosely pinned updos lend an air of nonchalance. Pair this style with a simple blouse, minimal makeup and a great pair of heels for devil-may-care sexiness. Click the style notes for tips and product recommendations. –– Laura Martin
Step: Begin with second day hair. Mist all over with refinish dry shampoo, focusing on roots first, tousling and pumping through to ends.
Step: Pull hair together into a loose ponytail at either the crown or nape using fingers or a wide-tooth comb to create organic texture. Leave some slack in the roots for softness.
Step: Fold ponytail over itself at the base, creating a loop. Pin the loop into place, leaving ends free.
