I love wet look styles for the way they combine beachiness, grunge, and polish. Pushing hair back away from the face provides a youthful yet edgy feeling. The combination of slick roots and satiny ends is fresh, sexy and tough. Half-dry texture has been all over the runway for a few years; now it’s time to bring it to the streets. Read on for simple steps to rocking this stunning look.–– Laura Martin

Step 1: On damp hair, apply a quarter of hair gel to roots, combing back, with a wide tooth comb. Behind the slicked, area, clip the hair at the scalp to hold in place.

Step 2: Below the row of clips, mist hair with set and style spray. Apply a light coating of healing oil to hands and run through ends.

Step 3: Dry hair behind the clips smooth with a paddle brush, working carefully so as not to disturb root area. When ends are completely dry, remove clips and shake through lightly with fingertips to blend textures.
